Effects of pollutants on development, reproduction and growth of crustanceans
Quantification of damage (number of spawned eggs, percentage of spawns with hatching, number of hatched larvae).
Determination of kind of damage (histopathological effects on gonads, type of morphological abnormalities in hatched larvae).
Effects on growth rate of juveniles (determination of weight gain, specific growth rate, level of energetic reserves, metabolic rate, among other variables).

Endocrine disruption in crustaceans, by effect of pollutants
Alteration of the secretion, and/or transduction in the ovary, of both eyestalk and thoracic ganglion hormones.
Alteration of the secretion, and/or transduction in the ovary, of both steroid and juvenoid hormones with reproductive function. Possible desorganization of the endocrine control of molting.
